FAQ
1. How should I arrange my travel to Tianjin? Do you provide pick up service?

2. I prefer to stay in Beijing for a couple of days before going to Tianjin, so if I'm traveling alone (maybe with families), how can I get to the ICBS hotels?
If you are planning a DIY trip from Beijing to Tianjin, the intercity bullet train may be the best choice. You can hire a taxi or use the subway Line 4 to get to the Beijing South Railway Station for the train.

The intercity bullet trains depart from Beijing at 15-minute intervals from 6:30 am to 11 pm with a fare of 54.5, 65.5 and 93.5 yuan for 2nd Class, 1st Class and Business Class seats respectively. The whole journey takes about 33 minutes. When you arrived in Tianjin, we will have the shuttle bus ready for your pick up. Click here for more information.

The IDs and Passwords can be found in the Letter of Intent we sent to you or your organization. After login, you can have full access to the website and register for meetings and activities.Click “Sign up for the conference” and then “Add a participant” to enter the registration page.

4. How do I confirm hotel reservations? Can I get a hotel confirmation letter for visa application?
Your cell phone number and email address will be needed for hotel reservations, so that the hotel can contact you about your booking or any other issues timely. Once a booking is successful, an SMS and email will be sent to you as confirmation. If you did not receive such confirmation, you can call the hotel hotlines to check your booking status.

5. As the meetings are held in Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel, does this hotel provide catering for all the participants and their partners?
The Hotel Renaissance cannot prepare meals for that many people so ICBS may have to return to your own hotel (Geneva or Crystal Palace) for food (free lunch buffet). The three recommended hotels are within walking distance and connected by pavements.

6. How are the recommended hotels? What facilities do they have? Are there any special tips about living in local hotels?
The Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview is a 5-star hotel, while the Geneva and Crystal Palace rank as 4-stars.Please note that slippers, towels, razor, iron, toothbrush and toothpaste will all be provided in your hotel room in case you didn’t bring your own. Voltage is 220v in China. Most outlets fit two-pronged parallel or three-pronged triangular plugs. Converters of 110V to 240V may be hard to find. Many mid-range and high-end hotels include a service fee in the bill, so tipping is not expected and may even be refused if you try. Click here for more travel tips.
